Money Order through Mobile – How to Do?

Now you can send money orders through mobile phones. Don’t think that such service will be in foreign country, but not in India. Now this kind of service will be available in India also. Postal Department of India is going to launch a new service where the users can send money order through their mobile phones. Postal Department has also come in to a deal with BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) regarding this aspect.

By sending money order through mobile, you can save lot of time and can ensure that the recipient gets money within lesser time. Also, it will be easy for you to send money in this way, rather than going to post office every time.

BSNL is going to develop and give a special software to postal department for this purpose. After the development of this software, this service will come in to force. ‘Money order through mobile’ service might commence from August or September of 2012, on a test basis.

In the first six months, these services will be made available in Punjab, Bihar, Delhi, Kerala circles. After getting success in these circles, this service will be made available in other cities too. According to this service, the recipient will receive an SMS notification. Up on showing this SMS, he or she can get money immediately from the nearest Post Office. Postal department will give some amount of commission to BSNL for the amount transferred using this process.
